New Thing #182: De goede herinnering

I learned how to say "Happy Birthday" in 7 languages (as well as one more birthday-appropriate phrase, in German). I already knew 'feliz cumpleanos,' so I didn't count that, and I didn't realize that I knew 'bon anniversaire," so I did count that. For those skipping the video, the languages are Italian, German, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese.

Hello from Germany... The ending is definitly just wonderful. Most important sentence in German anyway.

And I am so sorry to tell you, but you don't say 'Gl├╝cklicher Geburtstag' in German. You say:
'Alles Gute zum Geburtstag.' Or (even more difficult to pronounce): 'Herzlichen Gl├╝ckwunsch zum Geburtstag.'

(It sort of means: Everything good to you / Sincere congratulation)
